Sleeping and your health go hand and hand with one another. If you do not average at least seven hours per night you are depriving your body and you will not feel as refreshed when you awake in the morning. Studies released shows over 40 percent of people are going to their family physician for sleeping pills. These pills help you fall asleep but also make it much harder to wake up in the morning. People must sleep to regain their energy so that they can have a productive day.
In addition, for people who smoke the affects that smoking has on sleeping are alarming. Smoking brings nicotine into the body and nicotine is a stimulant. All smokers should be aware that you will not get a healthy night sleep if you smoke right before you go to bed. For people who develop any type of sleep deprivation due to possible back pain or any other pain, trying different techniques of relaxation such as a nightly yoga routine, helps relax and ease the pain.
The best advice at night is not to watch your T.V. in the bedroom; the bedroom is your sanctuary and should be a place to relax. Therefore if you do have a television in the bedroom shut it off at least a half-hour before shutting your eyes. Tests have shown the blue rays of the television actually can cause your brain waves to remain alert.
