Do you remember watching "The Lone Ranger" and "Gunsmoke" reruns? Children used to play Cowboys and Indians. The early days of television romanticized cowboys.
Cowboys played a very real part in American history. Learn about the historic roots of cowboys, their role in the cattle industry and the darker side of cowboys in "The History and Legacy of American Cowboys."
I was intrigued to learn that Spanish horses are a part of US cowboy history. And some of the things I thought were "real cowboy" are in fact creations of the press to sensationalize.
