Do you know that a large percentage of women who have abortions go into a severe depression five to seven years later? They can keep the reality submerged for only so long. Then they must admit to themselves, "I killed my baby." This is the story that women tell; I am not making this up. I know a strikingly beautiful woman who had an abortion at age 17. Her parents wanted her to finish high school and go to college, not be a teenage mother. Perhaps her parents did not want to "punish her," as Mr. Obama stated. This woman told me she could not stand to look at her reflection in the mirror. She despised herself. And she continued to hate herself until she encountered the Living God and experienced forgiveness. There are groups across the US for women who had abortions. Women share their pain and shame, while seeking wholeness. Others who have rights are the unborn children. Abortion clinics call them "products of conception."
