In this day of advanced technological testing and product safety considerations, it may seem preposterous that only 11% of personal care products are tested for safety, and that many products actually contain carcinogens and a host of other toxic chemicals. Even the Food and Drug Administration does not have the authority to control the ingredients in toiletries and cosmetics.
